During
May and August of 2008 participants and staff of the African
American Storytellers’ Retreat, and members of the North Carolina
Association of Black Storytellers recorded live stories, chants
and songs to offer a sampling of the type of enrichment that occurs
at our gatherings. We hope that this window of culture will be open
wide enough for you to come on in! Enjoy!
Proceeds from the CD will go directly to the
development and land purchase for KOTABA: the African American
Storytelling Village; the African American Storytellers' Retreat
(19th Annual, May 14 - 17, 2009, Enfield, NC) and in support of
programs of the North Carolina Association of Black
Storytellers, who has been a partner and supporter of the
Retreat over the years.
